Some journalists’ email can be as easily intercepted as a message in a bottle. But news organizations can take measures to keep snoopers out of their email.

 

 

News organizations can better protect their email by using STARTTLS, a mechanism for encrypting email in transit, the Freedom of the Press Foundation says.
