Cartoonist Mark Anderson’s blog includes a feature called “Inside the Cartoonist’s Studio.”

For “ITCS,” Anderson asks cartoonists “goofy” questions — such as what the worst title of a comic strip might be. Guests giving answers have included “Zippy the Pinhead” creator Bill Griffith of King Features Syndicate, “Spot the Frog” creator Mike Heath of United Media, “Tank McNamara”/”Cleats” creator Bill Hinds of Universal Press Syndicate, “Rhymes With Orange” creator Hilary Price of King, and “Rubes” creator Leigh Rubin of Creators Syndicate.

The blog, at, also offers other cartoon-related content.

Anderson — who’s based in Illinois — does business cartoons that appear in publications such as The Wall Street Journal and more general cartoons that appear in various magazines.
