The first “Ballard Street” cartoon collection in several years is being published next month by the Syren Book Company.

It’s called “Practicing People Skills on Ballard Street,” and it’s by Jerry Van Amerongen of Creators Syndicate.

The cover shows a dog imitating his “master” by also wearing glasses, reading a newspaper, and smoking a pipe.

In the 180-page book, there are nearly 400 daily and Sunday cartoons selected by Van Amerongen from the years 2001 to 2005.
