Editorial cartoonist Marshall Ramsey plans to begin a podcast this week, according a Ramsey blog post mentioned on DailyCartoonist.com.
“If what I have in minds works…, it will be the first steps towards animation,” wrote the 2006 Pulitzer Prize finalist, who’s with The Clarion-Ledger of Jackson, Miss., and Copley News Service.
Another syndicated creator who previously started a podcast is Scott Stantis, who does the “Prickly City” comic for Universal Press Syndicate and editorial cartoons for The Birmingham (Ala.) News and Copley.
Also, a book marking Ramsey’s 10th anniversary with The Clarion-Ledger is scheduled to be released Oct. 20. It will contain 140 cartoons, including nearly 50 relating to Hurricane Katrina.
