An exhibit of cartoons about smoking is being held at the National Museum of Health and Medicine (NMHM), according to DailyCartoonist.com.
The show, which runs through September, includes the mostly anti-tobacco work of more than 50 cartoonists — many of them syndicated.
NMHM is located at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington, D.C. Material in the exhibit comes from the University of Alabama Center for the Study of Tobacco and Society, which Dr. Alan Blum founded and directs.
The show made its debut during the 2004 Association of American Editorial Cartoonists convention in Lexington, Ky.
