The City of Huntington Foundation in West Virginia has named James Casto to the Huntington “Wall of Fame.”

Casto was associate editor and a columnist for The Herald-Dispatch in Huntington — retiring last year after more than four decades with the newspaper. He has also written several books about Huntington and West Virginia.

The “Wall of Fame” honoree will be recognized at an Oct. 13 reception, according to “The Columnist” newsletter published by the National Society of Newspaper Columnists. Casto is a longtime NSNC member who also serves as president of the NSNC Education Foundation.
