CBS MARKETWATCH.com SIGNS PRINT DEAL

Financial News Site Rides In On Daily News Express





CBS Marketwatch.com made its print debut this week as business news
provider to Daily News Express, the new evening commuter edition of
the New York Daily News.



CBS MarketWatch.com will also provide a selection of its news and
features to the Daily News’ Web site, NYDailyNews.com.



The Daily News Express will run four business pages with news,
features, and commentary from CBS MarketWatch.com. The site’s
weekly columns will also appear in print. They include Thom
Calandra’s StockWatch, Tom Kilgore’s Market Map, Bambi Francisco’s
Net Sense, Mike Tarsala’s Tech Watch, Mike Molinski’s FundWatch,
and Jon Friedman’s Media Web.


‘CBS MarketWatch.com’s debut in the Daily News Express is truly
a breakthrough for us,’ said Larry Kramer, CEO of MarketWatch.com.
‘It is our first foray into print journalism – one that raises our
profile in the nation’s largest media market.’



The Daily News says its new paper will have an initial free
circulation of 75,000.



Other Web sites pursuing print ventures include Nerve.com,
Inside.com, and Space.com.
