The West Australian, The Kalgoorlie Miner and The Countryman are now in live production on the 212-seat advertising sales and production solution from CCI, Aarhus, Denmark, with more efficient customer-relationship reporting and monitoring and improved copy control among the benefits for the West Australian Newspapers titles.
“The CCI system went live ahead of schedule and within budget, which is a very pleasing result,” Liam Roche, general manager, group operations & information technology, said in a statement. “The early decision to take a non-traditional rapid-development approach to the project paid off with a near perfect go-live.”
WAN sought more efficiency in reporting, better monitoring of customer relationships, the ability to follow up on contract performance, and improved copy control to reduce the time spent on copy chasing.
The workflow is now voucherless and features improved pagination of all classified products, automated billing and the ability for sales managers to accurately track and finalize their products. The system offers greater security, enforcing business rules to safeguard data integrity.
Headquartered in suburban Perth, WAN group interests besides its flagship daily include a 49.9% stake in Community Newspaper Group, two Websites, 21 regional newspaper titles, nine radio stations and specialty publications.
