The Center for Communication will roast Arthur O. Sulzberger Jr., the publisher of The New York Times and chairman of The New York Times Company, at its annual luncheon Nov. 17.
The luncheon supports the Center, a nonprofit media forum founded in 1980 by former CBS President Frank Stanton to better prepare the next generation of media professionals. This annual roast/toast last year honored Peter Chernin, president and COO of News Corporation. Previous honorees include Johnny Carson, Ted Turner, Katharine Graham, Al Neuharth, and Arthur O. Sulzberger Sr.
Speakers for the Sulzberger event will include Caroline Kennedy Schlossberg, Quadrangle Group founder Steve Rattner, New York magazine Editor-in-Chief Adam Moss, and New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd.
The luncheon will be held in the Grand Ballroom at New York’s Plaza Hotel.
