‘Charleston Daily Mail’ Names New Managing Editor

The Charleston Daily Mail has named Brad McElhinny as managing editor.

Editor and Publisher Nanya Friend announced McElhinny’s appointment in Wednesday’s newspaper. The 38-year-old Parkersburg native replaces Bob Kelly, who died in June.

McElhinny had served as city editor since 2004. He joined the Daily Mail’s staff in 1994 as a reporter.

Kris Wise Maramba was named city editor. The 31-year-old Parkersburg native had served as assistant city editor since 2006.

Lauren Hough McGill replaces Wise Maramba as assistant city editor. She had worked on the Daily Mail’s copy desk since September 2009.
