Jackpot Rewards will conduct a six-week promotional contest for the Chicago Tribune that offers the possibility of a $100 million prize, the online shopping site announced Tuesday.
Jackpot said Tribune readers will have three free chances to win $100 million, and that six weekly winners will be guaranteed to win $1,000.
Participants in the contest will be entered for seven days at no charge into Jackpot Rewards, an online shopping and rewards program that during the contest will include a Chicago-themed “Deal of the Day,” such as tickets to watch the Chicago Cubs and a $10,000 spending spree on the Magnificent Mile, the Michigan Avenue shopping district.
“This is a great opportunity for Jackpot Rewards to extend its model of providing great deals and great prizes to the readership of the Chicago Tribune,” Jackpot Rewards President and CEO Jim Miller said in a statement.
The Tribune will promote the contest with in-paper advertising including front-page placements each Wednesday. The contest will also be promoted with signage at newsstands and vending boxes.
