In Chicago now, the broadsheet daily publishes the Sunday funnies as a tabloid, and the tabloid daily publishes them as a broadsheet.
With this weekend’s editions, the Chicago Tribune revamped its Sunday comic and TV listings. It dropped the bound and digest-sized TV Week in favor of a newsprint tabloid listing with three pages devoted to Internet sites and blogs.
The new format, the paper said in a note to readers, includes “improved TV grids.”
The Sunday comics changed from a broadsheet format to a short tabloid.
The rival Chicago Sun-Times, a tabloid, publishes its Sunday comics in a broadsheet format. Last year, it briefly dropped its digest-sized TV book, but revived it after an outcry from readers.
