CNHI Selects Polkadots for Workflow

By: E&P Staff

Community Newspaper Holdings Inc. has selected Montreal-based Polkadots Software Inc. for its prepress workflow software. To date, it has been installed at CNHI’s Pharos Press, Logansport, Ind., and its South Georgia Media Group, headquartered in Valdosta.

Located in Birmingham, Ala., CNHI publishes daily, weekly and semiweekly newspapers in more than 200 communities throughout the United States. CNHI selected Newsflo Lite as part of the Southern Lithoplate CTP Alliance solution, along with Screen PlateRite News 2000 platesetters and Southern Lithoplate’s Viper 830 thermal plates.

The two sites now running Polkadots software took advantage of its remote technical assistance and opted for Internet-based installation and training for their Newsflo Lite systems. The installations were accomplished simultaneously on preconfigured hardware. Training was handled in three days thanks to the product’s simplicity, the pace of Web-based training and the trainers involved.
