CNI AdDesk Handles Outsourced Ads

Advertising solutions developer CNI Corp., Milford, N.H., has upgraded its AdDesk application with new features designed to help publishers manage outsourced ad production and improve order entry.

CNI has added a Creative Request form that lets sales staff submit ad layouts from remote locations, eliminating the paper trail and allowing publishers to manage outsourced ads. The feature also matches layouts to insertion orders, and routes them automatically to production workflow.

A pull-down menu allows users to route layouts and ad elements to internal creative staff or third parties and view where ads are in the workflow. A third-party company can use AdDesk to monitor what has been trafficked to it for production.

CNI also enhanced AdDesk’s e-proofing solution. Before being viewed by the advertiser, proofs can be routed through internal quality assurance. Approved proofs are automatically sent to advertisers, who can use “electronic push-pins” to request revisions.

At the same time, CNI has announced version 3.0 of its Ad Ticket application, designed to help AdDesk users improve sales operations.

With Ad Ticket online order forms, sales reps and advertisers can order print and Web advertising, eliminating much of the paperwork often involved in ad orders. The forms enable users to write up instructions for new orders, re-order past ads, and check an advertiser’s account history.

Sales staff is notified of customers’ on-line activities when advertisers use the system to enter orders. Alerts occur for new accounts, new orders, pick-up requests, incoming ad files, and proofs.
