CNN Provides a Window Into Life Under Taliban Rule for the First Time in 17 Years

In the 17 years since the start of the Afghan war, Taliban-occupied territory has remained a part of the world shrouded from public view and something of a no-go zone for Western reporters.

Despite this, Clarissa Ward, chief international correspondent, CNN, managed to gain a rare insight into everyday life there, having spent 36 hours with the Taliban.
