Columnist Pitts Coming to Louisiana to Discuss Katrina Aftermath

Columnist Leonard Pitts Jr. will discuss the race and class implications in Hurricane Katrina’s aftermath on March 22.

He’s slated to speak in the journalism building on Louisiana State University’s Baton Rouge campus. He’ll also meet with journalism faculty and students that day and next, according to The Times of Shreveport, La.

Pitts, winner of the 2004 Pulitzer Prize for commentary, is with The Miami Herald and Tribune Media Services.
