Media Will Get Results Within Seconds
LOS ANGELES – (Adweek IQ) In an effort to generate instant feedback following the October presidential debates, Informano Networks will poll voters from a registered group of Internet-enabled cell phone users.
Voters will relay their choice of winner to Informano, which will distribute the results to the news media and candidates in seconds.
“The current polling methods are slow and expensive,” said Jasbir Singh, CEO of the Emeryville, Calif.-based wireless technology applications provider. “Although this will not be a scientific survey, we want to demonstrate what can be done if market research is performed using the wireless Internet.”
Participants in the poll will be eligible for a $1,000 grand prize drawing. Voters interested in participating on the mobile panel can register at www.informano.net.
