THOMSON GETS HEALTHY



Thomson Interactive Media, Stamford, Conn., unveiled entertainment and
health modules packaged with Encore, the company’s Web site builder.
Coverstory.com is produced by Thomson Target Media’s Hollywood, Calif.-

based staff and includes editorial on movies, celebrities, and TV.



Healthfile.com provides health information by another Thomson
subsidiary. The package will include listings of local medical
providers.



Both Web packages will include national information, but some material
will be localized for newspapers.



Thomson also partnered this week with MonsterDaata.com, a provider of
low-cost transaction services for real estate professionals.



JOURNAL REGISTER CO. CHOOSES ZWIRE



The Journal Register Co. of Trenton, N.J., announced it will implement
PowerAdz.com’s Zwire! online publishing system. With 137 titles,
Journal Register will be the largest chain to use Zwire! Journal
Register’s papers include the New Haven (Conn.) Register and The
Times Herald of Norristown, Pa.



PowerAdz.com also unveiled Zwire! 2.0, which gives publishers more
flexibility on page layouts, and provides new features.



ADONE CONNECTS WITH SWITCHBOARD



AdOne LLC partnered with Switchboard Inc. to bring contextual Yellow
Pages to AdOne’s 730 newspaper affiliates. AdOne plans to customize the
online business listings to each of the verticals within
ClassifiedWarehouse.com. Real estate classifieds will be presented with
realty-related Yellow Page listings.



KOZ.com, DONORNET HANDLE ONLINE DONATIONS



Koz.com has 146 affiliates signed up for its online donation service
being offered through partner DonorNet. DonorNet provides e-commerce
fundraising for nonprofit organizations. Pulitzer Publishing, Gray
Communications Systems Inc., Media News Group, and Morris Newspapers
are among the affiliates. The Dallas Morning News raised $32,000 in
online donations since the launch of its community.dallasnews.com last
fall.


POWERADZ.com TAKES ADS 24/7



PowerAdz.com of Rensselaer, N.Y., said this week 24/7 Media will
provide national banner ads for PowerAdz’s newspaper network, which
includes over 1,300 papers.



SOME NEW SCREAMERS: COPLEY, BOSTON HERALD, LA NACION



Screaming Media has some new online syndication clients: Copley News
Service, the Boston Herald , and La Nacion of San Jose, Costa Rica.
