A joint operating agreement will link Las Vegas’ two major dailies, in print, until the middle of the century, but that’s not stopping each publication from searching for its own unique — and profitable — voice online.

The competition for digital readership is fierce between the Las Vegas Review-Journal and the Las Vegas Sun, with each paper portraying itself as the city’s go-to online source for information. But their business strategies differ.
