Given that Connie Schultz won the Pulitzer Prize for commentary in 2005, it’s appropriate that her new book will be published the day after the 2006 Pulitzers are announced.
“Life Happens: And Other Unavoidable Truths” is being released tomorrow by Random House. The 304-page hardcover includes Schultz’s columns — written for The Plain Dealer of Cleveland — about family issues, women’s rights, gay rights, working-class people, religion, race relations, politics, the impact of the Iraq War on Ohio residents, and more.
Schulz is currently on leave from The Plain Dealer as her husband, Rep. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), campaigns for a U.S. Senate seat. Her columns have been syndicated by Newhouse News Service.
