Henry Payne says the Pulitzer Prizes are biased against conservative editorial cartoonists.
The Detroit News/United Feature Syndicate cartoonist made that statement in an article he wrote for the National Review. The piece was posted on Daryl Cagle’s blog (http://cagle.slate.msn.com).
“In the last 10 years, not a single conservative editorial cartoonist has won the Pulitzer,” wrote Payne, adding that, as a result, some conservative artists have stopped submitting their work for the prize.
Payne also wrote that there aren’t enough conservative editorial cartoonists in newspapers.
