Copley News Service Promotes Winders to VP/Editor

Glenda Winders has been named vice president and editor of Copley News Service, effective this Friday.

For the past eight years, Winders has co-managed CNS with Patricia Gonzales, who will retire this Thursday after 33 years with the news service.

Winders joined CNS in 1988 as a night-wire editor, and later served as editorial manager and editorial director. Prior to 1988, she was a university writing instructor and freelance correspondent working from London. The Indiana University graduate holds a master’s degree in journalism from the University of Missouri and a master’s degree in English from Sonoma State University.
