Cox Newspapers to Use Content-Targeted Ad Platform AdSonar

Cox Newspapers, Inc. has agreed to deploy private label versions of Quigo’s AdSonar system across the Web sites affiliated with its 17 daily and 25 non-daily papers across the U.S. Notable news sites in Cox’s network include those affiliated with The Atlanta Journal-Constitution (; the Austin American-Statesman (; the Dayton Daily News (; and The Palm Beach Post (

The AdSonar system provides targeted, auction-based, pay-per-click advertising, and allows advertisers multiple targeting options for their pay-per-click campaigns including national and local targeting by vertical category, site, individual page and/or topic. Quigo’s product will also enable Cox Newspaper publishers to own their relationships with local advertisers, allowing papers to show advertisers where their ads will run.
