Cuts to Worcester Telegram & Gazette Newsroom by Halifax Media Group Claim Editor Leah Lamson, Digital Leaders and Statehouse Staff

The transition of the Telegram & Gazette’s ownership to Halifax Media Group began Monday with jobs cuts across every part of the newsroom and a meeting with Halifax CEO Michael Redding.

The entire newsroom staff gathered together Monday morning to hear who would be kept on as the paper transitions to new ownership. Job cuts from among the paper’s 180 employees were part of the announcement of the purchase of the paper by the media group.
