A Sacramento man has been convicted for killing a newspaper circulation manager during a carjacking.
A jury convicted Rashad Delrico Mack on Monday for fatally shooting Jesse Reiter, who had worked at the Davis Enterprise.
The 39-year-old was shot in March 2007 in south Sacramento after a night out with friends. He was a passenger in a friend’s Jeep that was waved to the side of the road by someone in another vehicle.
Reiter had worked for the newspaper from 1991 to 1999, then returned to the Davis Enterprise in 2005.
Mach is scheduled to be sentenced next month. A second defendant is expected to be retried after a judge last month declared a mistrial.
