Daytona Beach Paper Appoints Several Top Execs

The Daytona Beach (Fla.) News-Journal reshuffled its executive team after the death of Herbert ?Tippen? Davidson Jr., president, CEO, and co-editor of the News-Journal. The News-Journal has been in the Davidson family for 79 years.

Marc Davidison has been appointed chairman of the board and co-editor. He will retain his position as treasurer and assistant secretary.

Georgia Kaney, publisher of the paper, assumes the role of CEO and president.

Don Lindley, currently the paper?s executive editor, has been elevated to editor.

David Kendall, currently the CFO, will also become executive vice president and associate publisher.

Robert Truilo becomes general manager and assistant treasurer.
