dbusiness.com, a Fort Lauderdale-based business news Web site, yesterday landed a
$16 million investment led by U.S. Equity Partners LP, a private equity fund
sponsored by Wasserstein Perella & Co.
dbusiness.com, which covers local business-to-business news, will use the new capital
to expand its network and to add e-commerce initiatives targeting small and
medium-sized businesses. dbusiness.com’s current network covers local business news in
18 cities.
Other investors contributing to the $16 million include Baltimore-based Times Mirror
interactive (TMi) and TMCT Ventures, a venture capital fund.
