Dennis Pfeiffer, Publisher of Pottstown (Pa.) ‘Mercury’ to Retire

Dennis Pfeiffer, the publisher of The Mercury of Pottstown, Pa., has announced his retirement after nearly 30 years at The Mercury and its affiliated publications.

Pfeiffer first joined The Mercury in 1975, where he worked in the advertising department, eventually becoming advertising director. After the 1998 purchase of The Mercury by the Journal Register Corp., Pfeiffer became publisher of the Main Line Times, Germantown Courier, Mount Airy Express, The News of Delaware County, and the Town Talk newspapers. He returned to work as publisher of The Mercury in 1999.

In addition to his work at The Mercury and Journal Register Corp., Pfeiffer also founded Penny Pincher publications in 1988.
