The Denver Newspaper Agency (DNA), publisher of the jointly operated Denver Post and Rocky Mountain News, will provide all 120 of its prepress personnel with online training and testing from StaffingTools.com, Bloomington, Ind., which creates personalized, comprehensive Web-based programs for graphic arts professionals.
In choosing StaffingTools, DNA cited the company’s ability to dynamically update each student’s curriculum, combined with unlimited access to a full library of popular courses available around the clock. DNA Pre-Publishing Director Bob Kinney said all “ad builders, designers and designated support management staff will be trained.”
StaffingTools users include New York-based Applied Graphics Technology and Canada’s Transcontinental Group. Its solutions combine custom development, a library of interactive tests and training, and the hosted Learning Management System to allow businesses of any size to track and manage employee education. Courses cover Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop, QuarkXPress, Enfocus PitStop, Creo Preps and other popular programs.
