Last month, The Denver Newspaper Agency, the joint-operating agency that handles business operations for The Denver Post and the Rocky Mountain News, launched Digital Media Classifieds’ Virtual Videos for employment advertisers. This gave recruitment advertisers running ads in the Sunday Post-News Jobs section and on postnewsjobs.com now have the opportunity to transform liner and display ads into professional Web videos. Sales for the first month totaled 543 videos, which was well in excess of the projected volume.

Digital Media Classifieds and the Denver Newspaper Agency will be launching Internet videos for the real estate, rentals, auto, and retail categories between February and June of 2005.

Denver’s joint Sunday paper was the 52nd newspaper to add Virtual Videos. Since 1997, Digital Media Classifieds has specialized in developing and implementing digital video products that enhance a newspaper’s core product and strengthen its multimedia positioning.
