‘Denver Post’ Adds to its Metro Desk

The Denver Post has made three additions to its metro desk.

Diane Alters has joined the desk as an editor leading coverage of education, religion, and obituaries. Alters served as an editor at The Sacramento (Calif.) Bee and the former Gazette Telegraph in Colorado Springs, Colo., and was a reporter for the Bee, The Seattle Times, and The Boston Globe.

Jeri Clausing will oversee city and state political coverage. Clausing most recently was executive editor at Interactive Week.

Mark Jaffe will direct coverage of the science, health/medicine, and environment team. Jaffe previously worked for Bloomberg News in New York, and spent 17 years as an environment writer for The Philadelphia Inquirer.
