The Denver Post has launched Denver Post al Dia (Denver Post Today), a Spanish-language Web site with local news about Denver and Colorado.
The site features local stories, photos, and video by The Denver Post; national, world, business, sports, and entertainment news; news from Mexico, Central America, and South America segregated by country; the lottery, comics, puzzles and horoscopes; weather; links to newspaper Web sites in Mexico, Latin America and South America; and a blog by the Colorado Rapids.
Hispanics are the fastest-growing group in Denver, according to the U.S. Census. The population between 1990 and 2000 grew by 8%, triple the growth rate of the general population, and by 2004 more than one in five people in metro Denver was Hispanic.
The Denver Post will also have a Web page in English with news from Mexico, Central America and South America. The page will aggregate stories of interest to the Hispanic community, offer news from Mexico, Central America and South America by country, and offer columnists.
The Denver Post is published by the Denver Newspaper Agency under a joint operating agreement with the Rocky Mountain News.
