The Denver Post today is printing the Fort Collins Coloradoan and the copies of USA Today that once rolled off the Coloradoan’s press.

In an agreement announced two months ago, the 26,320-circulation Gannett daily north of Denver turned over printing to the MediaNews Group plant, which also printed E.W. Scripps’ Rocky Mountain News until that paper’s closure in late February. The Denver plant also has printed the Boulder Daily Camera since October of 2007.

The Coloradoan reported that by outsourcing printing it eliminated 42 production jobs from its production plant, which it will sell.
