The Dow Jones Local Media Group has gone live at three dailies with the Community Display advertising Services module of Software Consulting Services’ Community Advertising Services e-commerce framework.
The Standard-Times, New Bedford, Mass., Cape Cod (Mass.) Times, and The Pocono Record, Stroudsburg, Pa., are live on the system. The rest are deploying at the rate of one every two or three weeks, with The Record, Stockton, Calif., and Mail Tribune, Medford, Ore., up next.
CAS/CDS provides centralized, Web-based ad-production management and edition monitoring for all the local Dow Jones newspapers. It also includes self-service ad submission, ad proofing, ad catalogs, ad archives with full-text retrieval and e-tearsheets.
For Dow Jones’ local papers, New Bedford is the primary site, handling consolidated ad production for the others.
The turnkey solution includes browser-based Internet access and high-availability, with dual servers at both New Bedford and Dow Jones’ corporate data center in South Brunswick.
