The Post Register in Idaho Falls, Idaho, has reached an agreement with Digital Technology International to host its DTI Advertising solution in DTI Cloud, the company’s software-as-a-service offering.
“More than allowing us to focus on our core competencies of local news and advertising, the suite of DTI products makes it possible for us to pursue entirely new business models,” Post Register Editor and Publisher Roger Plothrow said in a statement. “It makes sense that we would need to offload a great deal of the hardware and software management,” added IT Director Dan Moore.
A simpler system, DTI Cloud will increase the paper’s operational efficiencies, provide better day-to-day functionality, lower costs, and increase revenue, according to DTI. The paper always will have the latest version of DTI Advertising.
“Upgrades for many of our critical systems cannot be overlooked, but neither can our cash position. We hope by investing in this technology we can really focus on our content, clients, and business, and let DTI worry about the daily management and upkeep,” Moore said.
