Brian Kruger, who founded Detroit-based WoodWing USA in 2002, has resigned as the company’s CEO. The company’s business-development vice president, Shawn Duffy, was named to replace Kruger. Duffy has almost 20 years’ experience in the publishing systems industry.
“Starting WoodWing USA and helping the company grow has been the most rewarding experience of my career,” Kruger said in a statement. “Now I’d like to step back and look at the industry as a whole, and explore how information will be consumed in the future.”
Trained as a journalist, Duffy began his publishing software career at Baseview Products (now part of MediaSpan Media Software) as a regional sales director. He later was promoted to MediaSpan sales vice president before joining WoodWing USA early last year.
Parent company WoodWing Software is headquartered in Zaandam, The Netherlands.
