Folio announced finalists in its annual magazine awards today and E&P earned a nod in the Best Article competition in the B to B sector.
The 2007 Eddie and Ozzie Awards will be presented September 23 in Manhattan. Other finalists include Newsweek, People, Forbes, Wired.com and Virginia Quarterly Review.
The honored E&P article, called “48 Hours in Seattle,” explored how the two dailies in that city coped with a massive power blackout caused by a storm. In hour-by-hour fashion it explored how every department from the newsroom to press room responded.
The team effort, one of three finalists for best article, was written by Jim Rosenberg, Mark Fitzgerald, Joe Strupp, Jennifer Saba and David Hirschman, and edited by Greg Mitchell and Shawn Moynihan.
Nielsen Business Media earned nine finalist nominations. Others earning nods included Billboard, Back Stage, Photo District News, and Natonal Jeweler.
Folio received more than 3000 entries this year in print, online and design categories, and utilized over 100 judges.
