In its strongest showing ever, E&P has been named a finalist in four categories for the annual Jesse H. Neal Awards, the highest honor in business journalism.
E&P garnered nods for its staff-written editorials, regularly featured department (News), subject-related series of articles (“The Sunday Paper”), and for its continuing coverage of the press and the Iraq war.
There were a record number of entries this year, more than 1,200, according to American Business Media. Other nominees include The American Lawyer, The Deal, Medical Economics, and PC Magazine. Only one magazine, CSO, gained more nominations than E&P.
E&P has won Neal awards in two of the past three years for its editorials, and last year Editor Greg Mitchell was awarded the McAllister Fellowship. Winners will be announced at a ceremony at the Waldorf-Astoria in New York on March 18.
