E&P won for Best Single Article on Sunday night in the annual magazine awards presented by Folio in New York City.
The winning article was titled “48 Hours in Seattle” and chronicled how the two dailies in that city struggled to get back in print, and online, after a historic storm hit the city. It was written by Jim Rosenberg, Mark Fitzgerald, Jennifer Saba, Joe Strupp and David Hirschman, and edited by Greg Mitchell and Shawn Moynihan.
Other winners in the competition included Fast Company, People, Wired.com, National Geographic, and E&P siblings, Billboard and Back Stage.
The contest for the Eddie (print) and Ozzie (design) awards drew a record 3000 entries this year, the highest number for any magazine competition “bar none,” the sponsors observed.
E&P won in the Business-to-Business (Media/Entertainment/Publishing) category.
The ceremony was held at the New York Marriott Marquis.
