‘Easton Courier’ Editor Departs

Maggie Caldwell, editor of the weekly Easton (Conn.) Courier, announced in Thursday’s edition that she was leaving her position and taking time off from work to travel.

Caldwell will be replaced by Julie Weinberg, a New England Press Association Award-winning writer who has worked as an assistant editor at two of the Courier’s sister papers, The Lewisboro (N.Y.) Ledger and The Wilton (Conn.) Bulletin.

Caldwell’s farewell letter was published in the newspaper, but not made available online. A message on the paper’s Web site promised, “More information and the full story about the editor change will appear in next week?s issue, coming out on Thursday, July 24.”
