“The Art of Ill Will: The Story of American Political Cartoons” has been published by New York University Press.

Donald Dewey’s 304-page book looks at the history of editorial cartooning until the present day, the portrayal of U.S. presidents in cartoons, censorship of cartoons, racial and ethnic stereotypes in cartoons, and more.

The text is accompanied by more than 200 images.
