Scarborough Research announced today that Edwin Batson has joined the company to lead its newspaper custom research service. Batson left the Los Angeles Times where he was director of marketing research.
In Batson’s newly created role as vice president of custom research, he will be responsible for new business development and broadening the scope of Scarborough’s custom research offerings including audience engagement and editorial and circulation studies.
Batson has more than 25 years of research experience. Prior to joining the Los Angeles Times, he worked for Diagnostic Research International, Martiz Research, Grey Advertising, and the Taco Bell Corp.
Batson, who will be based in Anaheim, Calif., will report to Gregg Lindner, executive vice president of research and operations.
