(AP) A reporter for the Army Times newspaper embedded with U.S. military troops was injured in a suicide car bombing in western Iraq, the U.S. military said Tuesday.
The reporter, who was not identified, was injured when the attack occurred around 7 p.m. Monday near the Syrian border, said U.S. military spokesman Capt. Duane Limpert.
Limpert did not have details on the extent of the injuries to the reporter. He said troops reported only minor injuries.
