Early next year, Enfocus Software will release PitStop Automate for streamlining creation and delivery/receipt of large volumes of Certified PDF files.
Built on the Enfocus PitStop Library platform, PitStop Automate extends the company’s PDF preflight, PDF editing, Action Lists, and Certified PDF to bring an advanced level of automation.
Features include the Certified PDF technology found in the company’s other products. Beyond PDF preflight and editing, PitStop Automate permits file sorting and conditional workflows based on file type, size, and other file or document properties. It enables splitting multiple-page PDFs into many single-page PDFs, and electronic file delivery can be achieved through FTP and e-mail. These features resulted from the combination of Enfocus and parent company Artwork Systems’ Odystar workflow technology.
As an upgrade for PitStop Server and companion to PitStop Professional, PitStop Automate allows users to go beyond verifying incoming files to designing complete workflows using an intuitive graphic user interface. The product also will benefit large document creators, such as ad agencies dealing with a wide variety of output requirements.
Agfa, Artwork Systems, Kodak’s Creo subsidiary, Fujifilm, Global Graphics, Heidelberg, Screen, Vio, Xerox, and Xitron have integrated Enfocus technologies into their PDF workflow systems.
