Evening Post Industries (EPI), a privately held national company with assets in media, marketing services and other industries, announced that it has acquired Content That Works, a premier provider of content marketing services to the media industry.
Content That Works will operate as a new division of EPI’s Evening Post Publishing Newspaper Group (EPPNG), under the leadership of Brad M. Boggs, senior director of interactive sales. It will continue to produce original editorial content and custom native advertising for online, print and broadcast media to help them grow audience and revenue.
Content That Works provides content to 30 million homes a month across the U.S. and Canada, through more than 1,000 newspaper, TV and radio stations. The Content That Works product portfolio extends to over two dozen specialty-content packages including well-known brands JobWeek, Real Estate Weekly, Body & More, WheelDeals, HomeStyle and KidScoop.
Dirks, Van Essen & Murray, a merger and acquisition firm based in Santa Fe, New Mexico, represented Content That Works in the sale.
Evening Post Publishing Newspaper Group publishes daily and community newspapers, including The Post and Courier in Charleston S.C., winner of the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Public Service.
According to EPPNG president P.J. Established in Chicago in 2001 by founder Paul A. Camp, Content That Works operations will relocate to Charleston, South Carolina, where EPI is headquartered. Camp will remain with the company, along with several other staff members.
