Fantagraphics Books plans to chronologically reprint every “Peanuts” strip in a 25-volume series. The first book, covering Charles Schulz’s 1950-52 comics, is scheduled for April 1 release.
Schulz did the United Feature Syndicate-distributed “Peanuts” for 50 years until his death in 2000 at age 77.
“The Complete Peanuts 1950-1952” also includes an interview with Schulz, information about the cartoonist, and a foreword by Garrison Keillor — the radio personality based in Minnesota, where Schulz grew up.
Fantagraphics intends to publish two hardcover “Peanuts” collections a year.
