Exhibit Features Editorial Cartoons and Other Political Work by Dr. Seuss

By: Dave Astor

An exhibit that includes the politically minded work of children’s book author Dr. Seuss is being held at the Peabody Gallery in Los Gatos, Calif.

The “Dr. Seuss for President” art show runs through Sept. 30.

Seuss included political messages in some of his children’s books, and also did editorial cartoons for the liberal PM newspaper in New York in the early 1940s. Examples of those cartoons are included in the exhibit.
