Expanded Duties at Scripps for ‘Rocky Mountain News’ Chief Temple

John Temple, editor, president and publisher of the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, has been named director of content for the newspaper division of E.W. Scripps Co.

While retaining his present positions, Temple, 53, will advise Scripps editors and publishers on editorial issues, including content strategy, Web development, design, and the recruitment and retention of editorial staff.

He has been editor of the “Rocky” since 1998 and earned his other titles there in 2001.
