Facebook Says Users Show Preference For Instant Articles Over Mobile Web Articles

Facebook mobile users are opening and sharing Instant Articles more frequently than mobile Web articles and are less likely to abandon such articles before they load, the company said Tuesday.

The Instant Articles program allows publishers to house entire articles on Facebook itself, instead of posting links that drive mobile users back to their own websites. Facebook launched the feature in May with the promise it would significantly speed up load times for mobile users.
