Fairfax Workers Protest Move to Send Jobs Offshore

Staff have protested outside Fairfax newspaper offices on Thursday as more than 800 journalists across two states strike over the organization’s decision to send local jobs offshore.

Workers in New South Wales and Victoria walked out of newsrooms on Wednesday after it was revealed 66 sub-editor jobs at the Newcastle Herald and Illawarra Mercury would be shipped to New Zealand.
